Revolver Entertainment, one of the leading independents in the UK, is a multi-award winning, marketing led all rights distributor, who, in recent years have shaken up the industry with a unique approach to managing releases.

In 2006, Revolver broadened its theatrical output with the release of French noir thriller 13 (Tzameti), which acquired instant cult status, Werner Herzog’s critically acclaimed Grizzly Man, stunning feature documentary Ballets Russes. and urban drama, Kidulthood, which has been dubbed “This year’s most controversial and talked-about film” by the British press.

The latter half of the year will see the release of Terry Gilliam’s Tideland, Starring Jeff Bridges, Beastie Boys’ epic concert performance Awesome I Fu*king Shot That, The controversial 'Destricted' erotic short film series which was selected for both the Sundance and Cannes 2006 Film Festivals.


Formed in 1997, Revolver recently was listed as the 15th largest film distributor and the 20th* largest home entertainment publisher in the UK out of 200 hundred active labels (*source Official UK Chart Co) outperforming numerous seasoned distributors. Revolver also frequently dominates the Special Interest Chart, enjoying a UK market share second only to entertainment giant Universal Studios. This market dominance was reinforced by the enormous success of Richard Pryor Live in Concert, one of the biggest DVDs of 2004 & 2005. Experts in exploiting niche markets, the company also publishes books under the Revolver name and music via the '357 Records' label.

Wherever possible Revolver strives to make a notable difference in society. Early in 2005 it conceived and produced 'The Best Comedy DVD in the World' of which all sales proceeds go to UNICEF. This incredible compilation DVD raised just under £1 million pounds in under 12 months for children affected by the Tsunami disaster. In addition the company supports various charities by making film premieres available to them as gala fundraisers.
